After falling away from the blogosphere for a few months, I’m making my re-entry with this archival piece from the New York Times dated September 2, 1974. What I find most fascinating about the piece is that it seems the pendulum does, indeed, continue to swing from one direction to the other. The last 20 years have not been particularly kind to naturism – at least until recently when social nudity seems to be gaining traction with Millennials. In that regard, this article could have appeared last September in the NYT.
The other thing worth a bit of literary love? The article itself! Not just another quippy piece with bare bum jokes, but reflecting a bit of research and substantiated reasoning. No question, American naturism could certainly use a bit more of that in 2019.
